Rolex GMT-Master II price – Retail Price Range: $9,500 – $39,900
The Rolex GMT-Master wristwatch was originally designed in collaboration with Pan American Airways and issued by the airline to their crews on long-haul flights. 40mm Case Size One of the cornerstones of the Rolex lineup, the GMT-Master II is a durable and accurate pilots watch
The original GMT Master watch has a 24-hour display fourth-hand complication directly linked to and displaying the same time zone as the standard 12-hour hand. This GMT hand enabled the crews to set the watch to GMT or another time zone, and, using the rotatable 24-hour scale bezel, set to the correct offset, a second-time zone could be read. GMT or UTC is the time zone that is required for all aviation planning, weather forecasts, schedules, and other paperwork.
Although the original Rolex GMT Master was available only in stainless steel, as it was conceived as a functional work watch, Rolex has been making luxury versions in both mixed steel and gold, and all-gold since the 1950s, and there are even exotic variations that incorporate elaborate designs that include precious stones. Popular GMTs like Pepsi, Coke, Batman, and Root Beer.
Rolex Sea-Dweller watch price – Retail Price Range: $12,600 – $12,900
40mm 43mm 44mm Case Size As one of Rolex’s most technically advanced dive watches, the Sea-Dweller Deepsea has traveled to the deepest known part of the ocean, the Mariana Trench. The Rolex Oyster Perpetual Date Sea-Dweller is a line of diver's watches manufactured by Rolex, with an underwater diving depth rating of 1,220 meters (4 000 ft) and up to 3,900 metres (12,800 ft) for the Sea-Dweller Deepsea model. Launched in 1967 with a diving depth of 610 metres (2 000 ft), the Sea-Dweller features a gas escape valve, developed by the brand specifically for watches, which allows the helium trapped in the watch while decompressing to be released at a given pressure during decompression while preserving the watch case's water resistance. Today's Sea-Dweller models are available in steel or steel and yellow gold and have a 43mm case. The Deepsea model comes in a 44mm case in steel and is equipped with the brand's patented Ringlock system, which was designed to provide a higher degree of pressure resistance.
The Rolex Submariner had already established itself as a diver's watch, but Rolex wanted to achieve even lower depths. At a certain depth, the helium-oxygen mixture, which professional divers are breathing during longer dives is penetrating through the silicone and rubber gaskets of the watch into the housing and can´t escape quickly enough during the decompression. So the crystal of the watch would pop out or break. In the early 1960s, therefore, began the development of a prototype made for more depth: Submariners with the ref. 5513 were equipped with helium valves and delivered to Comex, a French company for deep-sea exploration technology. The basis for the Rolex Sea-Dweller was created. The Submariner was depending on the reference, only capable of depths between 100 and 200 metres.
Rolex Cosmograph Daytona watch price – Retail Price Range: $13,150 – $75,000 (approx.)
40mm Case Size The Daytona was designed for professional racing and is the only chronograph that Rolex produces
Over the years, the Rolex Daytona has undergone three major transformations, which we categorize as the different ‘generations’ of Daytona watches. We’ll get into the specifics of these generations in a bit, but it’s important to know just how much this watch has changed over the years. For example, when this watch was first launched, it clocked in much smaller – at about 37mm – and featured an acrylic crystal and hand-wound movement not manufactured by Rolex. Today, the new models feature in-house automatic movements, sapphire crystals, sporty ceramic bezels, and cases with the addition of crown guards that measure 40mm.
Although the Rolex Daytona was originally developed to be a professional timing tool for drivers to use at the race track, the collection has expanded due to the watch’s tremendous popularity and association with luxury. Today, you can find the Daytona in various precious metals (like Everose and Platinum) and outfitted with diamonds and even rainbow-colored gemstones.
The Rolex Daytona has become one of the world’s most famous and favorite icons – a watch that every collector wants to have in their watch box, regardless of whether they’re after a contemporary or vintage reference. In fact, vintage Rolex Daytona watches are also among the most popular vintage watches to collect in the world, with many collectors clamoring over the rare and incredibly valuable early models.

Rolex Cellini price – Retail Price Range: $15,200 – $26,750
Rolex calls Cellini “the classical watch.” That’s a bit cheeky. Rolex is barely 116 years old. What Rolex really means by “classical”: its Cellini watches are bland. Or, to use their words, “sober and refined.” To refresh your recollection, the modern Rolex Cellini collection consists of three basic models. These are the Cellini Time, Cellini Date, and Cellini Dual Time. The Cellini Dual Time (hands-on here) is the most complicated of the models and is the only dual-time watch from Rolex that indicates both time zones in 12-hour format (versus their GMT watches that indicate the second time zone in 24-hour format). The Rolex Cellini Date is rather straightforward and, as its name implies, offers a date dial versus a date window, as is the case on other Rolex models.

Rolex Milgauss price – Retail Price Range: $6,450 - $8,300
The Rolex Oyster Perpetual Milgauss is a wristwatch model introduced by Rolex in 1956 with model number 6541. The Milgauss was advertised as “designed to meet the demands of the scientific community working around electromagnetic fields”. The first of its kind, it is capable of withstanding magnetic fields of up to 1,000 gauss and became known for being worn by scientists at the European Organization for Nuclear Research (CERN) in Geneva. Its resistance to magnetic interference stems from a shield inside the case made of ferromagnetic alloys, which protects the movement. This shield consists of two components, one screwed to the movement and the other to the case. In addition, its Caliber 3131 movement includes paramagnetic materials.
The name Milgauss it actually came from the French word mille Gauss. Mille Gauss named after physicist Kari Friedrich Gauss (where Gauss is used to measure the strength of magnetic field) which means one-thousand, and gauss, the unit of a magnetic field.
Rolex Milgauss 116400GV case is housed by a “Faraday Cage”, which is formed by ferromagnetic material that shields the movement from magnetic fields. This ‘cage’ has two parts to it, a container and a cover that is tightly screwed to it. The container seals the movement from the dial side, while the back cover seals the movement side.

Rolex Oyster Perpetual price – Retail Price Range: $5,100 – $5,900
24, 26, 29, 31, 34, 36, 39 and 41mm Case Sizes Created in 1926, the Oyster Perpetual was the first waterproof wristwatch. The “Oyster” namesake comes from the difficult-to-open shell of an oyster, representing the timepiece’s tightly sealed case. The Rolex Oyster Perpetual is a watch model in its own right. The Oyster Perpetual is defined by its hermetically-sealed Oyster case and its self-winding Perpetual movement. Oyster Perpetual watches display the time with running seconds and do not have any additional features such as a date display.
Some of the confusion around the Oyster Perpetual is due to the fact that Rolex uses the words "Oyster Perpetual" as a prefix for many of its watches, like the Oyster Perpetual Explorer, Oyster Perpetual Datejust, Oyster Perpetual Day-Date, Oyster Perpetual Submariner, Oyster Perpetual Yacht-Master, and Oyster Perpetual Milgauss (among others). The reason for this is because all of these watches feature an Oyster case and a Perpetual movement. So, the term "Oyster Perpetual" in this case, is used as a descriptor prefix of the watch, to denote that it has a water-resistant case and self-winding movement, not to denote that it is actually a member of the Oyster Perpetual collection.
The Oyster Perpetual is not a Datejust, because the official name of the Datejust is the Rolex Oyster Perpetual Datejust, sometimes people think that the Oyster Perpetual is the same thing as a Datejust. However, these are two different Rolex watch models. The easiest way to tell them apart? The Oyster Perpetual does not feature a date display, and the Datejust always does at the three o'clock marker, most frequently appearing under a Cyclops magnification lens.
